A few more updates

Hello.

Throughout the last couple of weeks quite a lot have happened around the society and there's so much more to come!!! The committee have been very busy what resulted with few very interesting opportunities for developing social networks and to socialise a little bit more.

The Lunch Club takes place regularly every Tuesday from 1 to 2 pm @ Mechanical Engineering 1.31/1.31a and everyone - society's members or not - are welcome to join.

The SPE Leeds first social took place on 12.10 at Red Hot and we would like to thank to everyone who has joined us. The next social - movie night projection (Gasland) followed by the quiz (prizes to be revealed on the day) and continued in the Roxy Ball Room @ Boar Lane in Leeds has been organised on Friday 26.10 at 6pm. We hope to see you all there.

Simultaneously committee have managed to reach an agreement with the PETEX 2018 conference organiser and secured a batch of tickets for its members at a very competitive prize of £25! But whoever wants to attend needs to act quickly as the deadline for registration finishes tomorrow 19.10. For more details or to sign up please get in touch with the Vice-President Aleks Novikov.

Another good news is that the PetroBowl 2019 competition location and date have been finally revealed. It will happen during East Meets West Conference and Expo in Krakow in Poland between 9th and 12th of April 2019. We are in the progress of putting together a team who will represent the University of Leeds and our society, If anyone is interested in joining the team please get in touch with President Marcin Kurmaniak.
