Greetings to everybody in the first week of chilly December.

Christmas is just around the corner, hence, we dearly hope that you are feeling wonderfully about the long-awaited MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR.

Yet few weeks still separate everybody from Christmas and for SPE LEEDS it means fair amount of work still must be done. Having said that, we would like to positively look back at today's thoughtful, attentive and engaging Panel Session from Shell held at the University of Leeds.

Here are just a few vital takeaways that are not only important to individuals of petroleum engineering industry, but to everyone that is open to a career with Shell:

  • Gender equality is a matter that is seriously taken into account within the Shell

  • Shell is an absolutely ideal place where to start off your career

  • Staff members, as well as seniors are eager to help no matter what

  • Do not be afraid to suggest, question or speak up in a work environment

  • Do not stand still, be open to LIFE and challenges; eventually, they will shape out your character

What is more, we would like to thank everybody who attended this event. Your enthusiasm is immensely appreciated and we hope that you got best out of this Panel Session.

It is worthwhile to point out the fact that Shell was very forthcoming to us and also held an CV drop-in sessions, providing a chance for the students from University of Leeds to apply for internships. We are very grateful for Shell willing to give out these kind of events, and we anxiously look forward for many more to come.

Wishing all the best,

YOUR SPE COMMITTEE
